Centrophenoxine, also known as meclofenoxate, is a well studied and documented choline source, with both studies and clinical trials indicating promising nootropic effects.
In addition to its effects as a cholinergic compound, it has also been shown to have antioxidant and neuroprotective properties. Centrophenoxine has been found to improve memory, brain and neuron health, cognitive performance as well as anti-ageing properties. Centrophenoxine is a modified version of DMAE with increased bioavailability and the ability to cross over the blood-brain barrier.
Centrophenoxine was originally formulated back in 1959 by scientists at the French National Scientific Research Cente as an alternative treatment for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, low blood flow to the brain as well as cognitive decline associated with age.
